The Danza was originally created by Polish Deli owner Neb Brasky in Lincoln, Nebraska circa 1987. As a fervent watcher of 'Who's the Boss?', Neb created many sandwiches named after characters and actors from his favorite show. After repeated failures with 'The Samantha' and 'The Angelo', and a protracted legal battle with a Quizzno's over the naming rights to 'The Milano', Neb stumbled onto a combination that caught on - cabbage, ground beef, and bananas. It was this concoction he dubbed 'The Danza'.
